Whaler's Locker is so excited, and extremely grateful, we can share our Great White Shark Fossilized Teeth with you. These Chilean specimen teeth are phenomenal, and thankfully, had not made it into the shop prior to the Lahaina fire.
Our Chilean great white fossil teeth are really the crème de la crème of fossil great white teeth. They were hand-selected just for us by our longtime shark-tooth-guy, Mark. Trust me when I say, this guy knows fossil shark teeth! Not to mention that teeth from Chile are highly valued and sought after due to the fact that since 2006 the source of these pristine fossils has been closed to fossil hunters.
There are few animals that have the power, intelligence and longevity of sharks. The sharks we know today have ancestors that lived approximately 100 million years ago. In our modern world, the shark of all sharks is the great white. Recorded in a maximum known length of 20" with possible bursts of speed at 35 mph and a huge mouth containing approximately 300 individually serrated teeth, it's not hard to understand why they are the current king of sharks.
This highly sought after Grade AA+ Chilean Great White Shark Fossilized Tooth was found in the deserts of Chile and ages approximately 5 million years old. It measures 2 7/8" from the corner of the root to the tip of the tooth on the longest edge. The root measures 2" at the widest point. The tooth displays excellent enamel, is fully intact and features full serrations along both edges of the crown. Amazing!
If you really like our great white tooth, but it's just not quite big enough for you, don't forget Whaler's Locker has an excellent collection of megalodon teeth in a wide variety of prices and conditions.
Each tooth will come in a museum box with viewing window to enjoy your tooth on display with peace of mind the tooth is protected. The tooth has not been restored or modified. You will receive the exact tooth shown in the images.
